Andrews Federal Credit Union wanted to offer Wi-Fi in its branches to provide additional services to its members and allow its employees to access its corporate network. Security was key since the credit union serves military personnel and handles sensitive financial data. The company needed a controller-less solution that could easily be managed remotely. With a small IT staff, and no technical staff located in parts of Europe, Andrews Federal required a solution that was easy to deploy.
Employees now help members sign up for online services at branch kiosks powered by Aerohive, and guests can access the Andrews Federal SmartSuite apps with their own mobile devices. Andrews Federal assigns guests to a specific SSID at each branch location, enabling greater security for the financial provider. The company will soon open a new branch adjacent to a Walmart store in Washington, D.C. and hopes to offer Wi-Fi to visitors at the branch.
Andrews Federal uses HiveManager Online, easily monitoring and configuring its network from the cloud, with the ability to make changes and schedule configurations for its European operations. At its headquarters location, the Board of Directors and other corporate employees can now access the network through mobile devices.
